Protecting the Grid.   Wisely.

GridON sets the new standard for electrical grid reliability, safety, performance & efficiency

The Keeper, GridON's HTS-free, single core, three-phase Fault Current Limiter, is transforming the electrical grid landscape. The system planner can now design a network for its assigned task, without overrating and compensating for faults. The system operator can safely interconnect sub-grids. The wind farm does not burden the network with its intermittent generation. The substation equipment is protected from devastating, wildly propagating, fault currents.

Armed only with the laws of electromagnetism, copper and transformer steel, The Keeper, by its ability to instantaneously shift its impedance from virtually nil to extremely high, stems ebbing fault currents before they propagate through the system. It is failsafe, inert, quiet, resilient and, yes, wise.

Our cutting-edge technology has its roots at Bar Ilan University, one of Israel's leading academic institutions. Over the eight years it has evolved from a High Temperature Superconductor (HTS) based, single phase, humble device, into our current elegant, compact and efficient single core, three-phase, HTS-free, award winning achievement.

The Keeper suppresses prospective fault currents on distribution and transmission grids, provides unique and unmatched control over disruptions and power outages, recovers instantly from fault conditions and enables continual uninterrupted operation. Consequently, it contributes to power quality and reliability improvements, the extension of capital equipment useful life and dramatic savings in capital expenditure.
In bringing this groundbreaking technology to market, GridON entered a strategic partnership with long-established Wilson Transformer Company of Australia (www.wtc.com.au), a leading transformer manufacturer.
